A total of 1450 Syrian refugees, mainly children, women and the elderly, including 26 injured Syrians, entered Jordan during the last 24 hours, according to Jordan Armed Forces source. Border guards stationed along the 370-kilometer borders, received the refugees and escorted them to an area prepared by the Armed Forces, Jordan News Agency (Petra) quoted the source as saying. Border guards also provided the Syrian refugees with humanitarian aid prior to transferring them to the refugee camp in Mafraq.
