At lest 19 people were killed when a truck crashed head-on into a bus on a western Argentina highway, dpa quoted police as saying. Both vehicles burst into flames after the collision in the province of Mendoza, and most of the fatalities were burned. State news agency Telam said the farm truck loaded with garlic was traveling 120 kilometres per hour in the wrong lane and hit the bus, which was carrying 39 passengers. Mendoza police chief Juan Carlos Caleri said the truck had gone at least 4 kilometres in the wrong direction before the accident. "We do not know why the driver was going in the wrong direction, there are signs in the zone," he said. Both drivers were killed in the crash, provincial health minister Matzas Roby said.
