The President of Saudi Press Agency (SPA) Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussein received at his office here today the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Basem Abdullah Al-Agha . During the meeting, they discussed prospects of cooperation in news affairs. The meeting was attended by Director General of News Department Ahmad bin Ibrahim Al-Awadh. The Palestinian ambassador toured different desks of the agency and he was briefed on their multi- media activities and mechanism of their works . At the end of the tour, President Al-Hussein briefed the Ambassador on a replica of SPA building currently being executed in the north of the city of Riyadh , and the old equipment used in transmitting news and photographs. The SPA President presented a commemorative gift to the Palestinian Ambassador, who in turn, presented a similar gift to President Al-Hussein. The Ambassador expressed in a statement following the visit his thanks and appreciation to the Government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their permanent support for the Palestinian issue and people since the era of the founder late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman (May Allah bestow mercy upon his soul) until the reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He expressed his pleasure to visit Saudi Press Agency and what he saw of the mechanism of the information works in the agency's various desks that keep pace with modern technological developments in the world, whether in the mechanisms of transmission or communication or benefitting from social networks , which have become among the important means to share information, also expressing his thanks to the President of the Agency and its staff . Ambassador Al-Agha said that the media role and vision pursued by the SPA in directing the minds towards the Islamic values and morals which we aspire to and hope in the face of all the dangers surrounding the nation and the plans against it, and in transmitting the news to Saudi and Arab citizens on the most important developmental issues and the cause of Palestine. The Ambassador conveyed the praise of President of Palestinian News Agency ( WAFA ) of cooperation with the Saudi Press Agency.
