Riyadh newspaper reviewed developments there, concluding that all agreed on establishing a modern state based on a democratic system there. On Syria, Almadinah, Alsharq and Alwatan newspapers expressed pessimism about the situation in Syria and the possibility of success of the Geneva 2 conference. Finally on China, Alyoum newspaper discussed the possibility of China becoming a giant in the field of shale gas after the discovery of huge reserves of non-conventional natural gas there. It added, "If China successfully extracted gas of all its types in commercial quantities, a new era for energy in the world would be written and some of the countries exporting liquefied natural gas could be affected."
