Ibrahim Mohammed Bashmi, Chairman of GCC Friendship Committee of the Bahraini Consultative Council, lauded the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's stances towards the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressing historical relations between the two countries. During his meeting with Saudi ambassador to Bahrain Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmalek Al Al-Sheikh, Bashmi has hailed the Kingdom's role in dealing with Arab and Islamic issues, expressing appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Saudi government on moving regional and international issues in the interest of the region. He added that the GCC Friendship Committee of the Bahraini Consultative Council stressed importance of coordination with the Saudi Al-Shura Council in all fields. During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways of enhancing relations and parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
