Bahraini Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at Riffa Palace here today Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Eastern Region. The Prime Minister hailed the deep-rooted Bahraini-Saudi relations, voicing Bahrain's keen interest to further cement ties with Saudi Arabia and the GCC countries so as to move from cooperation to union. He described the Bahraini-Saudi relations as a model of brotherly links, lauding Saudi Arabia's continuous support for Bahrain. He lauded strong ties binding both countries and keenness to further strengthen bilateral cooperation under the leadership of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The Prime Minister praised Saudi Arabia's efforts to support the GCC march, commending the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to move from cooperation to union. He also lauded Saudi Arabia's honorable stances in supporting Arab and Islamic issues. For his part, Prince Saud praised the Prime Minister's supportive stances to promote relations with the GCC countries, in general, and Saudi Arabia, in particular, describing the Bahraini-Saudi relations as an unchangeable pillar and valuing the Prime Minister's role in this regard.
