The associate professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dr. Mamdouh Ahmed Al-Harthy has won four patents from the U.S. Patent Office, on the development of polyolefin industry and the increase of its production by using a number of nanomaterials supported by some metals and minerals. Dr. Al-Harthy also said that the use of nanomaterials in the invention as additives to the reactor during the polymerization process resulting in the doubling of production and improving the physical and mechanical properties of the final product.
