Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani commended Bahraini security services for their success in preventing terrorist operations aimed at destabilizing the security and stability of the Kingdom of Bahrain and terrorizing innocent people there. In a press statement today, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council said, "What is revealed by the security services of attempts to enter quality weapons and explosives into Bahrain and smuggle fugitives are conclusive evidence that gangs of terrorism and criminality in coordination and conspiring with the forces of the regional sectarian extremism are continuing their criminal plans and obnoxious quest to shed the blood of the innocent and spread fear, violence and chaos in the Kingdom of Bahrain." Dr. Al-Zayani stressed the GCC's denunciation and strong condemnation of all terrorist acts aimed at compromising the security and stability of Bahrain. He also emphasized the GCC's support for Bahrain in its counter-terrorism efforts.
