Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani has denounced repeated attempts to install espionage and terrorism cells in the GCC countries and seek to prejudice their security and stability describing them as "desperate criminal terrorist attempts revealing aggressive intentions of the parties behind them." The GCC Secretary General noted the Saudi Interior Ministry's announcement on the spy network linked to one of the states with a target of jeopardizing the security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and undermining the gains of its development. Dr. Al-Zayani praised the diligent and proactive efforts of the security agencies to protect the security of the Kingdom and its stability and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents. He also stressed the GCC support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all its actions in this regard, on the basis of the GCC's firm belief that security is indivisible, and that compromising the security of a state threatens the security and stability of all the GCC countries.
