Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), condemned in the strongest words the terrorist explosion which took place in a village in Bahrain yesterday and injured seven security men while in action, three of them seriously. Al-Zayani said today the GCC countries denounce such terrorist actions which aim at destabilizing the country and affect the comfortable life of citizens and expatriates in a member state of the group and derailing the development process. He said the GCC countries stand united behind Bahrain in its fight against terrorism and call on the world community to collectively face this phenomenon through enhancing international cooperation in the field of terror combat, exchange of information and enforcement of terror combat resolutions issued by the regional and international organizations.
