The 129th meeting of joint ministerial council among foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jordan and Morocco began here today as part of preparations for GCC summit due to be held in Kuwait in December. Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, led the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation to the meeting. Addressing the meeting, Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah said it was necessary to continue efforts to prop up cooperation among GCC member states and Jordan and Morocco. On her part, Delegate Minister at the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Imbarka Buaida hailed the meeting as "another strong sign for our well-established values, commonalities and solidarity for defending our firm principles aiming to cement peace and stability and to respect the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of the states".
