The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) foreign ministers concluded their extraordinary 39th session here today under the chairmanship of Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and President of the current session of the GCC Ministerial Council. In its communiqué, GCC ministerial Council asserted that the attack on the sovereignty and interference in the internal affairs of any of the GCC Member States is intrusive and an assault on all the GCC countries. It also stressed its full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and support of all its steps taken for the recover of the UAE's rights and sovereignty over its occupied islands. The communique called on the Iranian side to end its occupation of these islands and to respond to the call of the UAE to find a peaceful and just solution through bilateral negotiations or resort to the International Court of Justice. GCC Member States reiterated their fixed stances representing in their absolute support of the UAE full sovereignty over its three occupied islands, the Greater and Lesser Tunbs and Abu Musa as well as its territorial waters, airspace, continental shelf and exclusive economic zone of the three islands as an integral part of the UAE territory. --More
