Lura Sulaiman, Director of Lebanon's National News Agency for Media, considers social networks as a crucial tributary of news for the world of traditional news agencies as they have triggered the managers of news agencies to think about how to accommodate the flow of news and reports coming out of those communication networks without tampering their traditional practice of giving authentic news production. In an interview with SPA today, Lura Sulaiman, here to participate in the IV News Agencies World Congress (IV-NAWC) being hosted by SPA, lauded the constructive cooperation between news agencies at the Arab and international levels. She underscored the importance of the topics on the agenda of the congress and the participation of a host of world elite journalists, noting the diversification of the papers on agenda matching with the needs of media community at the professional and technological levels. She said news agencies ought to benefit from social communication networks and digital media amid the modern technological developments to provide new products for their recipients.
