Hussain, President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) and President of the 4th News Agencies World Congress (IV-NAWC), delivered a speech in which he extended thanks to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his kind patronage of the 4th News Agencies World Congress. He also welcomed the Minister of Culture and Information, who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), and the participants. "Thanking you for coming and being interested in this important media event, which reflects its importance witnessing a huge revolution in the fields of media, communication technology and information exchange," Al-Hussain added. "We are invited to work hard in order to keep pace with the successive variables and changes as well as challenges of the 21st century. We have to work hard to rise duties of the news agencies, improve their performance and enhance their role which are still main news producer despite of the news media outlets," the SPA president. "Riyadh Conference is a fourth session of the conferences of the world news agencies which started in Russia 2004, then Spain 2007 and Argentina 2010. This conference represents a quantum leap in the field of putting foundations of constructive cooperation among the news agencies in the domains of experiences and expertise exchange. The conference is scheduled to discuss five topics selected by the News Agencies World Council (NACO).
