(SPA) will chair IV-News Agencies World Congress (IV-NAWC) to be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh on November 17-21, 2013 in the largest gathering of international media between the presidents of news agencies, and officials of the satellite channels and newspapers around the world to discuss "Reshaping the News Agency in the 21st Century" to carry out its news missions benefiting from the development of the means of technology information and communication. The IV-News Agencies World Congress will be held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud emanating from his recognition of the importance of the information in its various media, and active roles at all levels, including the coverage of truths and positions on renewable events in the world and transmitting them to people with all credibility. The Congress has also enjoyed a great interest of the Minister of Culture and Information and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, who has been continuously following up the stages of organizing this Congress for its all success. The idea of holding News Agencies World Congress was founded in 2004 when news agencies realized their responsibilities as major producers of news in the world amid this enormous momentum of volume of information exchanges being witnessed by the current century through modern communication means quickly addressed through the media, which necessitated the search for methods contributing to the improvement of the ability of news agencies in transmitting a variety of items that enrich the global media market in accordance with the principles of honesty, transparency and objectivity. Following this step, the News Agencies Council (NACO) was established and entrusted with the mission of organizing the News Agencies World Congress in the world every three years, in addition to the preparation of its structuring and program. The Council holds two meetings between two congresses of the news agencies.
