AlHijjah 20, 1434, Oct 25, 2013, SPA -- Tsunami waves of up to 1 metre were expected to hit Japan's Fukushima prefecture about 2:40 am (1740 GMT Friday) Saturday after an earthquake hit off the east coast, the nation's Meteorological Agency said, according to dpa. The US Geological Survey measured the quake at magnitude 7.3 in the Pacific Ocean about 300 kilometres from Fukushima's coast. The quake took place at 2:10 am at a depth of 10 kilometres, it said.
