Strong quake hits north-eastern Japan

A magnitude-6 earthquake struck north-eastern Japan early Friday, the Meteorological Agency said. dpa reported.
One person was injured in Fukushima, public broadcaster NHK said,
but no immediate damage was reported and no tsunami warning was
issued.
The quake occurred at 3:32 am (1832 GMT Thursday) with its
epicentre off Fukushima prefecture at a depth of 50 kilometres, the
agency said.
