AlHijjah 19, 1434, Oct 24, 2013, SPA -- A bus crashed into a ravine in central Thailand , killing 23 passengers and injuring 15 others, dpa quoted a media report as saying Thursday. The accident occurred at 7 pm (1200 GMT) Wednesday when the bus travelling from the northern city of Chiang Mai to Lampang, 515 kilometres north of Bangkok, crashed through a guard rail on a hilly road and toppled into a 50-metre deep ravine, Thai PBS TV reported. "The accident was caused by the bus's faulty brakes," Lamphang Governor Thannin Suphasaen said.
