AlHijjah 1, 1434, Oct 6, 2013, SPA -- Faisal bin Abdulrahman bin Muammar, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and General Supervisor of King Abdulaziz Public Library, has confirmed that "The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques International Award for Translation" managed in just a few years to open up a wide range of knowledge and humanitarian communication between Arab-Islamic culture and other cultures in all areas of knowledge. He also said that the lofty goals for which the award was introduced are to contribute to the transfer of knowledge from other languages into Arabic language and vice versa, encourage the translation in the field of science into Arabic and enrich the Arab library by publishing outstanding translation works as well as to upgrade level of translation based on originality, scientific value and quality of the text. This came in a press statement made by bin Muammar on the occasion of the honoring ceremony of the award winners at its sixth session which will be held in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, on Dhu-AlHijjah 16, 1434 AH (October 21, 2013).
