AlQa'dah 26, 1434, Oct 2, 2013, SPA -- President of the Saudi Press Agency Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussein opened today a course on the skill of the media dealing with means of social communication in the Media Training Center at the agency's headquarters. The President of SPA said the course is the first organized by the Centre in the new training year and provides professional capabilities to deal with the social networks. The President of SPA stressed the importance of the presence of SPA in social networks to achieve several objectives, most notably establishing a formal and reliable source of news in the social networking sites, showing its news and photos to recipients and marketing its name as a prominent news source. "These activities are added to several other events held by SPA, such as three-dimensional and optical exhibitions organized by the agency inside the Kingdom and abroad. The President of SPA mentioned the fourth world news agencies congress to be hosted by SPA under the title of reshaping the 21st century news agency during the period from 17 to 21 November 2013. He added that work is underway in full swing for the holding of this huge conference in which most of the world's news agencies will meet in Riyadh as well as key speakers of the media who represent international news channels and the most important social networking sites.
