The United Nations Security Council condemned the bombing of two mosques in Lebanon, calling it a terrorist attack, the council said in a statement Friday. "The members of the Security Council strongly condemned the terrorist attacks ... in the northern city of Tripoli," the statement said. "The members of the Security Council reaffirmed that terrorism in all its forms and manifestations constitutes one of the most serious threats to international peace and security." According to dpa, the council urged the Lebanese people to stay calm as authorities work to combat forces trying to undermine national security. It asked all parties to "respect Lebanon's policy of disassociation and to refrain from any involvement in the Syrian crisis."
