The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, who is also the Chairman of SPA Board of Directors, chaired here today the first meeting of the Board of Directors of Saudi Press Agency (SPA). At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Khoja thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his approval to transfer SPA into an independent public authority. He also thanked Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, for the continuous support he offers to media and media men. SPA President and Vice Chairman of SPA Board of Directors Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussain delivered a speech in which he praised the efforts exerted by Dr. Khoja to implement the decision of the Cabinet transferring SPA into a public authority.
