The Television & Broadcasting Commission's Board of Directors held here this evening under the chairmanship of Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja its first ever meeting. At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Khoja thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his support for the media work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as he previously approved to transfer the Broadcasting, Television and the Saudi Press Agency into two financially and administratively legal and independent commissions and establish a new unit for the audiovisual media. Dr. Khoja welcomed the members of the board of directors, hoping to see their participation in the board yielding success. During the meeting, Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Hazzaa, offered a presentation on the measures taken to enable the commission to fulfil its job.
