Saudi Ambassador to Australia Nabil bin Mohammed Al Saleh stressed the importance of the role of the Kingdom and Australia in promoting peace and regional and international stability. In a speech during a seminar at the Parliament in the Australian capital Canberra, he said that achievement of peace must be the primary goal over the next decade. The ambassador reviewed stages of the evolution of the Kingdom since its founding by the late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud. The ambassador highlighted the role of the Kingdom in the fight against terrorism and extremist ideology. The ambassador underlined the prominent role by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his efforts to promote dialogue among the followers of different religions and cultures. The ambassador stressed the importance of the cultural role played by Saudi students who receive their education at universities in Australia and welcomed the formation of the Saudi-Australian Business Council.
