Australian Islamic Friendship Association has awarded Saudi Ambassador to Australia Hassan Talat Nazer the Shield of Religions' Followers Dialogue in recognition of his pioneering efforts in support of dialogue among followers of religions and civilizations in the Australian community. In a speech on this occasion, Ambassador Nazer reviewed the leading role played by Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for promotion of dialogue among followers of religions in the world. He highlighted the Initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Dialogue Among Followers of Religions and Civilizations as well as the conferences of United Nations in New York and Geneva to promote values and tolerance and to achieve security, peace and stability for all people around the world.
