In presence of Saudi Ambassador to Australia and New Zealand Hassan Talat Nazer, the Australian Federation of Islamic Societies has held an annual breaking-fast party at Great Hall of King Fahd Islamic College in Sydney. The party was attended by members of Australian house of representatives and officials; consuls; heads and members of municipal councils and Islamic and Arabic societies; and Saudi students on scholarships. Ambassador Nazer delivered a speech about the values of the blessed month of Ramadan and the need for unity and good deeds, highlighting the role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in the service of Arabs and Muslims, promotion of dialogue among followers of religions and enhancement of stability and peace among peoples. In his speech, Tony Stewart, Member of Australian House of Representatives commended Saudi-Australian friendship, praising the role played by the Saudi Ambassador in promoting friendship between the two countries.
