The Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Monday afternoon, . At the outset of the session, the Cabinet was briefed on a report on the developments of events at the international arena, contacts, meetings, consultations, and Arab and international efforts on a number of issues, crises and their repercussions on the security and stability of the region. The Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session that the Cabinet discussed in this regard the events in Syria, their serious repercussions, the escalation of violence, and the use of the military machine in bombing Syrian cities, killing innocent civilians and displacing them, the destruction of infrastructure, and the depletion of the capabilities of the Syrian people. The Cabinet condemned the blatant interference of Lebanese Hezbollah in the Syrian crisis. The Cabinet expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's appreciation for various Arab and international efforts to end the crisis, stressing in this context the contents of the statement issued by the extraordinary meeting of the Arab League Council at the level of Foreign Ministers which condemned the continuing acts of violence, murders and crimes against the Syrian people and foreign intervention that made the Syrian territory an area of violence and infighting.
