Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Monday afternoon. The Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) after the session that the Cabinet welcomed the visit to the Kingdom by Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait and his meeting with the Crown Prince. The Cabinet was briefed on the latest developments in the region and the world, including the situation in Syria, stressing the continuation of the Kingdom's firm position calling for re-doubling the efforts of the international community to achieve a final solution to this crisis and stop the bloodshed of the Syrian people. The Cabinet condemned Israeli continued attacks and arbitrary practices which have been escalated against the Palestinian people and Islamic holy sites, including the arrest of Mufti of Al-Quds and Palestine Sheikh Mohammed Hussein, and the decision of the Israeli authorities on the construction of 296 new housing units in the West Bank, calling on the international community to intervene to deter Israel and force it to stop its violations and blatant aggressions on the Palestinian territory, which are considered as a flagrant challenge to international law and international legitimacy. The Cabinet condemned the bombings that targeted Rihaniya town in southern Turkey, which led to killing and injuring of dozens of the innocent people, expressing the condolences of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the relatives of the victims of the blasts, and wishing the injured people a speedy recovery.
