Watan newspaper focused on the political scene in Iraq, criticizing Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki's handling of the current situation in his country. With regard to Syria, Okaz newspaper criticized Russia for its role there while Al-Madinah newspaper called for the prevention of the division of Syria. Al-Riyadh newspaper highlighted the importance of the relations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the Asian countries.
