The last remaining South Korean workers at a jointly-managed industrial complex in North Korea were to return home Friday, completing Seoul's pull out from the zone amid high tensions on the peninsula, a government official said according to dpa. The return of the seven workers from the Kaesong Industrial Complex had been held up since Monday after Pyongyang demanded payments for overdue wages and corporate tax claims estimated to be around 80 million dollars. "An understanding was reached on settling outstanding payment with the North Korean side that will permit the South Koreans to crossback over the border," an unidentified government official was quoted as saying by the Yonhap News Agency. Two South Korean vehicles will bring cash to make the payments, the official added, without confirming the amount. Seoul decided to abandon the complex last week after Pyongyang rejected calls for negotiations to re-open Kaesong.
