North Korea on Tuesday halted production at an industrial park operated jointly with the South, amid rising tensions, officials said. The move came amid a warning from the North for foreigners to consider leaving South Korea and as Japan deployed anti-missile defenses in Tokyo, according to a report of DPA. The 53,000 North Koreans employed at the Kaesong complex, 10 kilometres north of the border, failed to turn up for work, the Unification Ministry in Seoul and company representatives said.
