South and North Koreas traded threats to each take decisive action towards the disputed industrial complex near the border in North Korea following Seoul's call to re-open talks between the two neighboring countries on the facility. Pyongyang said Friday it was withdrawing all remaining workers from a shuttered jointly run complex. There were still 175 South Korean workers at Kaesong, out of 800 who normally work there. Operations at 123 South Korean companies in the complex have been suspended since April 9, when Pyongyang pulled out all of its 53,000 laborers who worked for the companies.
