The number of Syrian refugees who crossed the border to Jordan since the beginning of the Syrian crisis rose to 163,000 refugee on Thursday. As many as 3932 Syrian refugees, mainly, children, women and elderly people crossed into Jordan in the past 12 hours, Jordan News Agency (Petra) quoted an official source from the Jordan Armed Forces as saying. The source said that border guard units operating along the Jordanian-Syrian borders received the refugees and evacuated them to an area prepared by the armed forces for this purpose. The source added that the armed forces provided aid to the displaced Syrians in preparation to transfer them to the Zaatari refugee camp.
