A statement by the Civil Defense in Riyadh today revealed that an official fire fighter has martyred on duty in Jeddah earlier today. The information spokesman of the Civil Defense Department said that the roof of the second floor of a house gutted by fire in Al-Rabwa neighborhood in Jeddah fell all of a sudden on the heads of a number of civil defense fire fighters while on duty to put off the fire and rescue the trapped inside the house. The falling roof killed Lance Corporal Abdullah Jerboa's Al-Subaie and injured Lance Corporal Haitham Abdulrahman Ali Al-Ghamdi, who was later discharged from hospital. Immediately, Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, ordered the transfer of the duty premium to the family of the martyr as was the treatment for previous martyrs.
