AL-AHSA — Three people in Hofuf were rushed to hospital when a fire struck the two-story house they were in. Al-Ahsa Civil Defense spokesman Lt. Col. Ali Saad Al-Qahtani said five firefighting and rescue teams immediately rushed to the blaze in the Al-Shahabyia neighborhood. The fire, which gutted a room on the first floor, was brought under control by the firefighters and did not spread to other rooms. The injured were treated for smoke inhalation. An investigation into the fire was opened.
