AlHijjah 17, 1432, Nov 13, 2011, SPA - The Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) , Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, commended today constructive and fruitful security cooperation between Bahrain and Qatar, which has led to the detection and arrest of a terrorist cell which was planning to commit criminal acts in Bahrain targeting some vital installations and people. He said in a press statement that the cooperation of security agencies in Qatar and Bahrain in the detection of this terrorist cell confirms that the strength of the GCC countries lies in their integration and interdependence, and that security coordination and cooperation among the GCC countries will foil all attempts aiming at undermining the security and stability of the GCC States, noting that the security of these states is indivisible. He added, "These continued plans and interventions in the internal affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the GCC countries are desperate terrorist attempts that contradict divine religions and international laws and norms, endanger the security and safety of the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain and residents on its territory, and threaten security and stability in this vital region of the world ".
