The official spokesman of the Ministry of Health Dr. Khaled Marghalani has said total amounts disbursed by the Ministry of Health until the end of the year 1433 AH on treatment of various medical conditions in private hospitals and abroad as well as organ donation reached an amount of SR 1,800,000,000. He said that the Ministry disbursed SR 630,600,000 as cost of treating emergency cases in private hospitals to 56 private hospital, in addition to the SR 88,000,000 riyals as costs of cases referred for treatment in the city of Prince Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz for Humanitarian Services. According to Dr.Marghalani, the Ministry also spent a total amount of SR 92,000,000 on the item of benefits for patients and an amount of SR 26,400,000 as rewards for organ donation in addition to the SR 963,000,000 for health offices abroad as the cost of treating patient transferred for medical treatment abroad.
