Presided over by its Vice Speaker Dr. Mohammed Ameen Al-Jeffri, Majlis Al-Shoura held here today its 79th ordinary session. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr. Fahad bin Metad Al-Hamad, Assistant Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura, said that the council discussed a number of issues of its agenda. Al-Shura council approved a draft system of engineering professions and works. The council also approved to activate attraction of the foreign tourism, especially the tourism of antiquities and culture as well as tourism of conferences and exhibitions. Majlis Al-Shura approved assignment the responsibility of planning and control of the strategic storage of the main food commodities to the Grain Silos and Flour Mills Organization. The council approved the recommendations of the Security Affairs Committee regarding amendment of some articles of the penal system for fraud crimes. Majlis Al-Shura discussed a report of the Human Resources and Administration Committee regarding a request to approves the international convention no. 138 on the minimum age of usage for 1973AD. The council also discussed the annual performance report of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowment, Dawah and Guidance.
