Presided over by its Deputy Speaker Dr. Mohammed bin Ameen Al-Jeffry, Majlis Al-Shura held here today its 51st ordinary session. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the meeting, Dr. Fahad bin Metad Al-Hamad, Assistant Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura, said that the council discussed a number of issues on its agenda. The council listened and discussed a report submitted by the Committee of Islamic and Judicial Affairs regarding a draft system of criminal procedures, a report prepared by the Committee of Housing, Water and Public Services on the annual report of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs for the fiscal year 1431/1432H., a report conducted by the Committee of Social Affairs, Family and Youth on the draft list of the role of social care and a report presented by the Committee of Economic Affairs and Energy on the annual report of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality for the fiscal year 1431/1432H. Following thorough debate by the Shoura Council's members, the concerned committees were given grace time to re-study the cases and submit them for discussions in future sessions.
