OIC Secretary General Meets Ruler of Sharjah

Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al- Qasimi, the United Arab Emirates' Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah met today the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu.
The Secretary General commended the Sharjah governorate for hosting the Middle East and International Exhibition and Conference on "Halal Food," which will be held later today and last until December 12, 2012.
Professor Ihsanoglu stressed the importance of the role played by the appropriate development of economic and trade cooperation between the Member States of the OIC, which is reflected on raising rates of Trade interfaces.
The two sides also discussed ways to develop cooperation between the Organization and the United Arab Emirates and the current situation in the Islamic world.
