Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu expressed his strong condemnation of the decision by the Israeli occupation authorities to approve the construction of 3000 settlement units in the West Bank and the occupied city of Al-Quds, considering it a challenge to the will of the international community which rejected the Israeli occupation and its policies by voting in favor of the State of Palestine at the General Assembly of the United Nations. In a statement today, the OIC Secretary General said that to continue building settlements on Palestinian land justifies the need to transfer this dossier to the relevant international bodies, specially the UN Security Council and UN General Assembly, for them to shoulder their responsibilities and exercise their role towards the recurring Israeli violations and attacks, taking place on the ground in the State of Palestine, being war crimes that must be immediately terminated.
