Presided over by Saudi Arabia's Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet for Shura Council's Affairs Dr. Saud bin Saeed Al-Muthami, the Ministerial Committee in charge of following up the implementation of the GCC resolutions held at the headquarters of the Arab Gulf states organization its 8th meeting in Riyadh today. He reminded that the 29th GCC summit held in Muscat, Oman, obliged the GCC member countries to each establish the necessary legislative tools to implement the resolutions of the summits, starting the 29th in no more than one year from that date. He also noted that his committee was born simultaneously. He said the call of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to move the GCC from the phase of cooperation to union necessitates integrity of national legislations and executive resolutions of the summits. For his part, Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani, GCC Secretary General, told the meeting that the GCC Secretariat General will forward the outcome of this meeting to the 33rd GCC summit scheduled for Manama, Bahrain, from 24-25 December this year.
