The Undersecretary of Ministry of Interior, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Salem, chaired here today a meeting of Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Interior of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States to prepare for the 31st meeting of GCC Ministers of Interior to be held in Riyadh next week. Addressing the meeting, Dr. Al-Salem congratulated Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, on the trust of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in his appointment as Minister of Interior, stressing the Prince's high efficiency and skills in confronting challenges and security crises, especially the phenomenon of terrorism. Dr. Al-Salem said, "Prince Mohammed bin Naif has become an international reference in the field of combating terrorism'', wishing him all success, and commending the efforts exerted by Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz. He recalled the achievements of the late Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz (May Allah bestow mercy upon his soul) in all fields, especially in security and the establishment of the security system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He pointed out that the meeting's agenda includes many topics aiming to enhance cooperation and coordination among the GCC States in the fields of internal security, combating crimes and protecting citizens.
