AlHijjah 4, 1433, Oct 20, 2012, SPA -- A photo exhibition on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, consisting of rare photographs taken by Princess Ales, the grand-daughter of Queen Victoria, during her visit to Saudi Arabia in 1938, has opened in the University of Aberdeen, organizers said. The event, which was opened the day before yesterday and lasts until the end of the month, was organized by King Abdulaziz Public Library in cooperation with the University of Aberdeen. Principal of the University of Aberdeen Professor Ian Diamond lauded the cultural relations binding the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom over the year. He expressed welcome of Saudi students on scholarships in Britain, particularly those studying in the University of Aberdeen. For his part, the Cultural Attache at the Saudi embassy in London Dr. Faisal bin Mohammed Al-Mahanna Abalkhail conveyed the greetings of ambassador Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz to the guests and participants of the exhibition. Abdulkareem Al-Zaid, Deputy Supervisor of King Abdulaziz Public Library, said the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has established this library to introduce Saudi Arabia to the world.
