AlQa'dah 22, 1433, Oct 8, 2012, SPA -- Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and General Supervisor of King Abdulaziz Public Library, Faisal bin Abdulrahman bin Muammar launched in Free University of Berlin today the Fifth Forum of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Int'l Award for Translation titled "Translation and its role in promoting rapprochement between cultures and civilizations," in partnership with the Free University of Berlin in the Federal Republic of Germany. In the opening ceremony speech, Vice General Supervisor of King Abdulaziz Public Library Dr Abdulakreem bin Abdulrahman Al-Zaid said: "The launch of this international award by King Abdulaziz Public Library, which enjoys the generous sponsorship and support of its founder and patron, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, comes as confirmation of the position the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia occupies in political, economic, cultural and intellectual circles. He also added that the status of this award reinforced by the efforts of Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Member of the Board of Directors of King Abdulaziz Public Library, and who is also Chairman of its Board of Trustees. In this round, the award received participations from 25 countries from around the world, Al-Zaid pointed out.
