King Abdul Aziz Public Library in cooperation with the Saudi Embassy in Britain is organizing an exhibition of a selection of rare historical photographs taken by Princess Alice, the granddaughter of Queen Victoria, during her visit to the Kingdom in 1938. The exhibition, which will be inaugurated by Prince Muhammad Bin Nawaf Bin Abdul Aziz, the Kingdom's Ambassador to Britain, will be held at the headquarters of the Royal Geographical Society in London from July 13 to 23. Faisal Bin Abdul Rahman Bin Mu'ammar, Supervisor General of King Abdul Aziz Public Library, said the exhibition aims to inform people about the Kingdom and its culture. He stressed the strong historic relations between Saudi Arabia and Britain, whose foundations were laid by King Abdul Aziz. He said the exhibition has over 50 rare pictures taken by Princess Alice. They have been arranged in chronological order and include her arrival in Jeddah, visit to Taif, Riyadh, Al-Khobar and other parts of the Eastern Province.
