AlHijjah 4, 1433, Oct 20, 2012, SPA -- Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist bombing in the suburb of Ashrafieh in Beirut which resulted in the killing of Brig. Wissam Al-Hassan and a large number of casualties and injured people. The Secretary General who offers condolences to the martyrs ' families and renders homage to their lives and wishes the injured a speedy recovery, calls on the Lebanese Government to exert all efforts to uncover the perpetrators of this heinous crime and to bring them to justice. He also calls upon all Lebanese political parties to put Lebanon's supreme interest above everything and to deal with all acts of violence and terrorism and to distance Lebanon from the risks which undermine its unity, security and stability.
