AlQa'dah 19, 1433, Oct 5, 2012, SPA -- At least 13 people were killed and 30 injured Friday when a passenger bus and minibus collided head-on in northern Bangladesh, causing a protest to break out, police said according to dpa. The crash occurred in the South Surma area in the Sylhet district on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway, 260 kilometers north-east of the capital, leaving all but one of the minibus passengers dead at the scene, Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohammad Ayub said. Witnesses said the bus crossed the centre line into oncoming traffic, causing the accident. Ayub said both vehicles were speeding.
