Two separate accidents on the same highway killed at least 13 people and injured five others in central Bangladesh on Friday, a report said. A minibus carrying seven people hit a parked truck in dense fog on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway, killing all aboard including the driver, the United News of Bangladesh said. The area is 40 kilometers (25 miles) east of the capital, Dhaka. The second accident occurred on the same highway when another minibus collided with a speeding truck, the agency said. The bus caught fire, burning at least six people to death, including two government officials and their wives, and injuring five others, it said. Two of the injured were sent to a government hospital in Dhaka, while the rest were being treated in a local hospital, the agency said.
