proliferation agreement and resolutions of the Security Council and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). With regard to the issues of the region, the two sides stressed common commitment to working towards achieving a just, comprehensive and lasting peace in the Middle East and working to achieve a comprehensive solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict, including the two-state solution. The two sides also agreed on coordination between the two sides regarding changes in the region of the Middle East, the continued strong support for President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi and his government, manifested in the Friends of Yemen conference on September 27, 2012 in New York, the peaceful political transfer of power in the Republic of Yemen and invitation of the international community to take swift action to support economic development in Yemen and help meet the urgent humanitarian needs. They welcomed the steps taken by Yemen to restructure the armed forces and urged Yemen to speed the start of the national dialogue as an essential step for the implementation of the Gulf initiative. They affirmed their support for the Arab Republic of Egypt and that economic success is the key to provide the necessary conditions for a stable and secure transformation in Egypt. --More
